DELETING YOUR ACCOUNT

Anna-Lee Palmistry, part of Heart@ Group Ltd

You can close your account whenever you like, and you do not have to give a reason. Here is exactly how to do it and what happens afterwards.

HOW TO DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT IN THE APP

  1. Open the app and sign in.
  2. Go to your Profile tab.
  3. Scroll to the bottom to Delete Account.
  4. Type DELETE to confirm.
  5. Press Delete My Account.

That is it. Your account closes straight away and you are signed out.

IF YOU CANNOT SIGN IN

Email us at info@heartgroupltd.com from the address you registered with, and ask us to close your account. We will confirm once it is done.

WHAT WE DELETE

When you close your account we remove:

  • Your account and profile, including your name, email address and date of birth.
  • Your readings, saved readings and reading history.
  • Any hand photos you uploaded.
  • Your journal entries, mood entries and personal notes.
  • Your chat messages with the Anna-Lee assistant.
  • Your consultation bookings and any notes attached to them.
  • Your subscription record.

WHAT WE KEEP, AND WHY

A small amount of information has to stay, and only for these reasons:

  • Payment and invoice records. UK tax law requires us to keep these for six years. They are held by Stripe and by our accountants, not used for anything else.
  • Community posts. Forum posts and replies stay visible so conversations other people took part in still make sense. They are unlinked from your name and account. If you want your posts removed as well, say so in your email and we will take them down.
  • Safety and abuse records. Where we have had to act on a report, we keep a minimal record so the same problem cannot simply repeat.

Everything else is gone.

HOW LONG IT TAKES

Your account closes immediately. Backups holding the deleted data are cleared within 30 days.

DELETING SOME OF YOUR DATA WITHOUT CLOSING YOUR ACCOUNT

You do not have to choose all or nothing. Email info@heartgroupltd.com and tell us what you want removed, for example your journal entries or your uploaded hand photos, and we will delete it and keep your account open.

YOUR RIGHTS

Under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 you have the right to erasure, the right to a copy of your data, and the right to have mistakes corrected. Our full Privacy Policy sets these out.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
